Is RandomGen really free?
Yes. Every generator is free with no signup. Optional Pro ($3/month) removes ads, unlocks saved lists, and gives you white-label embeds for your own brand.
How random is it?
We use crypto.getRandomValues() — the browser's cryptographically secure source, the same one banks and password managers use. Output is statistically unbiased across any range you specify.
For most uses (games, decisions, shuffles), it's overkill. For applications that legally require certified randomness (lottery draws, audits), you'll want a notarized provider like random.org.
Can I embed a generator on my site?
Yes. Every tool page has a one-line <iframe> embed at the bottom. Free embeds include a small RandomGen attribution link. Pro embeds remove the attribution and let you set your own brand colors.
Do my settings save?
Settings save in your browser's local storage — never on our servers. Every result also has a shareable URL that recreates the exact configuration. No accounts, no tracking, no servers full of your data.
Does it work offline?
After your first visit, yes. RandomGen is a Progressive Web App: install it on mobile or desktop, and every tool you've used will keep working without an internet connection.
